Day 1 – Welcome to Africa

Upon arrival in Cape Town, guests will be met by a representative of Open Tour Africa who will hand over the travel documents and transfer them in a private vehicle to the Cape Milner hotel situated in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town.
Cape Town, known as the Mother City, is situated on the South Western tip of the African Continent, in one of the most beautiful, natural locations in the world. As beautiful as the surrounding beaches and vineyards may be, it’s the rugged wilderness of Table Mountain, coated in a unique flora that grabs everyone’s attention.

Cradled beneath the majestic Table Mountain in Cape Town’s trendy suburb of Tamboerskloof, this hotel enjoys a strategic situation within easy reach of the main sights and amenities. Days 2 & 3 – Cape Town and surrounds

Days at leisure to explore the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town and the wine lands region
A variety of activities are on offer: take a scenic ride on the cableway and visit Table Mountain; view the comical penguins at Boulders Bay; get up close and personal with a Great White Shark at Gansbaai; meander through the
Hotel roomvineyards in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek and taste some award winning South Africa wines; for an in-depth look into South Africa’s apartheid history visit Robben Island and the see the prison cell that ex-president Nelson Mandela called home for 28 years; see where the 2 great oceans meet at Cape Point; or just relax and enjoy the funky vibe of Long Street –the options are endless.

Day 4 – Mpumalanga- Place of the rising sun

After breakfast, guests will be collected and transferred to Cape Town International airport for the domestic flight to Kruger International airport in Nelspruit. Upon arrival guests will be met by our transfer agent who will road transfer them to Highrove House, situated overlooking the Mpumalanga Lowveld valley
The Lowveld region in Mpumalanga is a bush-clad plain that slopes gently upward to the Lebombo Mountains on the Mozambique boundary in the northeast. Experience the Kruger National Park, unforgettable game lodges, spas and health hydros, magnificent Big 5 wildlife, exciting adventure activities, and breath-taking panoramas.

Day 5 – The hills are alive….
After breakfast, guests will be collected by a qualified local guide who will take them on a full day tour of the highlights of the Panorama route. Guests will have the opportunity to view the Blyde River Canyon (3rd largest in the world), the view of the escarpment from Gods Window, the interesting rock formations at Bourkes Luck Potholes and the old mining town of Pilgrims Rest. A stop for lunch will be in the charming town of Graskop
The Lowveld region boasts a rich and diverse history. Each of the towns in the area has a unique character, from the sleepy mountain towns of Sabie and Graskop to the bustling city of Nelspruit, and the historic gold mining town of Barberton, scene of a gold rush in the 1880′s.

Day 6 – Time for Safari!
After breakfast, guests will be collected and transferred by our transfer agent to Hamiltons Tented Camp in the Imbali concession of the Kruger National Park
On arrival check in and enjoy lunch on the deck before departing on the afternoon safari
The massive expanse of the Kruger National Park is home to over 147 species of mammals, 114 reptile species, 51 snake species, 49 fish species and a massive 508 species of birds, a number unrivalled anyway else in South Africa. Home to the Big Five of the African animal kingdom, the Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest conservation area, covering an expanse of 19 455km2.

A destination of historical significance to its region within the Kruger National Park, Hamiltons Tented Camp represents an era of authentic style and genuine safari adventure! Decked out in the atmosphere of an early twentieth century trip through the dense African bush, Hamiltons is a safari experience not likely to be forgotten.

Days 7 – Warning! Watching wildlife is addictive
The day is spent on exhilarating morning and afternoon safaris in the one of the most renowned safari destinations.
In the Swahili language, safari means “journey”. And what better a journey to undertake than that in which you spend days in the company of the elephants, lions, rhino’s and a plethora of other exquisite creatures. Immerse yourself in the marvel that is the African Bushveld…..

Day 8 – Time to say goodbye
After the morning safari and breakfast, guests will be transferred by our transfer agent to Eastgate airport, Hoedspruit and depart for Johannesburg International.
